Travelling for Business? Brush Up on International Business Etiquette!

Depending on where you are visiting, business etiquette can very much differ. For example:

  • if you are attending a meeting in Germany, proper business attire is considered compulsory all year round (even during the hot days of summer) and overpraising of colleagues is seen as inappropriate
  • in France, spelling is highly valued as the French are very protective of their language
  • in Italy eating lunch at your desk is seen as unsociable and rude
